Hermetically Sealed Distribution Transformers

Ideal Transformer manufactures hermetically sealed oil-immersed distribution transformers within a 25–2,500 kVA range and voltage classes up to 36 kV. The sealed tank limits contact between insulating oil and the outside atmosphere, helping control moisture ingress and oil oxidation. These transformers are suitable for utility distribution, industrial facilities, renewable-energy connections, commercial projects and compact substations.

Standard engineering can include 50 or 60 Hz operation, ONAN cooling, copper or aluminum windings and Dyn11, Dyn5 or Yyn0 vector groups. Rated voltages, losses, impedance, temperature rise, tapping range, accessories and protection equipment are finalized according to the network study and customer specification. Designs are developed and tested in accordance with IEC 60076 and applicable project requirements.
